About
Highlighting the importance of mental well-being, UNWIND focuses on anxiety, a natural response to stress experienced in varying degrees. The aim is to dismantle the negative perception of anxiety and shift the understanding from it controlling us to us managing it. By giving anxiety a tangible form, this project encourages a reassessment of its nature.
Guided by insights from neuroscientists like Lisa Feldman Barrett and psychologists like Rollo May, UNWIND combines technology, science, art, and design to dissolve the negativity associated with anxiety. The project involves creating a device to collect heartbeat data and producing a moving sculpture that transforms this data into a tangible form.
Coworkers: Selin Eke, Brinda Sharma, Dana Berro, Oliwia Syroczynska
